Weekly competitive intelligence for dental
Know what changed around your clinic before your patients do.
Every Monday at 6 a.m., you get a short brief on your territory: which competitor moved, who changed a price, what patients are searching for — and what to do about it. Built for independent dental hygienists and practices.
Sample territory — 10 km radius
Illustrative example — not a live territory report
Competitor changes Example entries: a new practice promoting; a rival quietly dropping its discount channel.
Pricing opportunities Example findings: unpublished fixed prices and an undefended service line.
Emerging service Example entry: AI-verified imaging that helps with CDCP paperwork.
Marketing moves & search topics Example moves, plus 7 example patient questions in the weekly format.
Threats Example entries: corporate expansion and CDCP fee-gap friction.
Illustrative sample report
What your Monday brief looks like
This is an illustrative sample in the exact format subscribers receive every Monday. The businesses, prices, and findings below are example content shown to demonstrate the report structure — they are not live research on a real territory. Your own report is built from live monitoring of the competitors and prices around your clinic.
3 competitor changes
Illustrative example of what moved inside a territory this week
1. Illustrative example: a new practice opens nearby — and starts promoting.Example
Example entry showing the format: how the brief flags a recently opened practice in its first promo cycle — what to watch, how long early discounting typically runs, and which patients it is most likely to attract first. Your live report tracks the actual new entrants inside your radius.
2. Illustrative example: a nearby clinic quietly drops its discount channel.Example
Example entry showing a weekly diff: a competitor that previously drove volume through a discount platform lists no active deal, while recent reviews hint at a price move. In a live report this is drawn from week-over-week snapshots; here it demonstrates the kind of quiet pricing shift worth acting on while deal-seekers are shopping again.
3. Illustrative example: an acceptance gap no one in the category claims.Example
Example entry showing a gap the brief surfaces: broader dental practices in an area may advertise acceptance of a major program, while independent hygiene clinics do not. In your live report, the brief checks what competitors in your category are (and are not) claiming, so you can see uncontested positioning before someone else takes it.

2 pricing opportunities
Illustrative examples of where the brief looks for pricing room
1. Illustrative example: few published prices — so publish your policy.Example
Example scenario for the format: most clinics in a territory cite a fee guide or offer assessments without posting set prices for common services, while practices lean on promo bundles. Patients still arrive asking “what will I actually pay?” — the brief flags that gap and points to a published pricing policy plus written estimates before treatment. Your live report replaces this example with the actual published pricing inside your radius.
2. Illustrative example: a service line no one is defending on price.Example
Example scenario: a high-demand elective service has no clearly published local price, while standalone studios position on value. The brief shows how publishing your price beside a plain-language comparison (for example, sensitivity risk and restoration caveats) can defend revenue and capture search demand. In your territory, the service and the numbers come from live local checks — not this sample.

1 emerging service
Illustrative example of what your competitors may sell next
Illustrative example: AI-verified imaging and automated claim notes.Example
Example entry showing the format: how the brief summarises an emerging-service development — what changed, which of your workflows it touches (for example, documentation for preauthorisation), the patient-facing angle, and the one question to ask your vendor. Your live brief draws this section from current industry and vendor news relevant to your practice.

4 marketing opportunities
Example moves in the format of the brief
1. Illustrative example: make program acceptance unmistakable.
Example move showing the format: when a meaningful share of a catchment plausibly qualifies for a national dental program, the brief points to a clear acceptance page and plain-language eligibility guidance — the kind of page patients search for before they call. Your live report checks the demographics and competitor pages inside your actual territory.
2. Illustrative example: own the hygienist-vs.-dentist cost answer.
Example move: consumers comparing the cost of a hygienist-only cleaning against a dentist-led visit — a demand tailwind for independent hygiene clinics. The brief shows the comparison patients are making and the single page that answers it. In your live report, the prices come from your territory.
3. Illustrative example: nervous-patient content is wide open.
Example move: where other clinics signal demand for anxiety-friendly care but few write for it, “judgment-free, unhurried cleanings” content converts well and is cheap to produce. Your live brief checks who actually owns that language near you.
4. Illustrative example: close the review-velocity gap.
Example move: if high-volume practices hold the review lead locally, the brief recommends systematising review asks at checkout and owning a differentiator patients already praise — such as unhurried appointments and patient education. Your live report uses the actual review counts and themes in your radius.

2 threats
Illustrative examples of the risks worth planning around
1. Illustrative example: corporate consolidation pressure.Example
Example entry showing the format: how the brief flags expansion by large dental groups — and the counter-move available to an independent, such as making “independently owned, not corporate” part of your public identity before a chain opens nearby. Your live report tracks the actual corporate activity in and around your territory.
2. Illustrative example: program economics tightening at the desk.Example
Example entry: when preauthorisation decisions slow down and patients arrive better informed about potential fee gaps, clinics without written estimates and clear preauthorisation scripts absorb avoidable friction. The brief shows the pattern and the desk-level fix; your live version uses current program data and what patients are actually saying in your area.

Buyer lens
The same findings, translated for your role
If you’re an independent hygienist
Illustrative translation of the sample above: how the brief turns the week’s findings into hygienist economics — fee-guide positioning, hygienist-direct demand, and program-acceptance visibility. Your highest-ROI moves in a live report come from your own territory’s data: for example, a clear acceptance page, transparent service pricing where competitors stay silent, and a consistent review-ask routine.
If you’re a dental practice
Illustrative translation of the sample above: how the same findings read as practice economics — competing for hygienists on pay, flexibility, and culture; asking your PMS and imaging vendors for their AI roadmaps; and making written estimates standard. Your highest-ROI moves in a live report come from your own territory’s data, including preauthorisation scripts for CDCP cases and an “independent, not corporate” identity before a larger group forces the comparison.

Continuous monitoring
Watched all week. Delivered Monday.
Each week the pipeline snapshots your territory and compares it against every previous week, so you only hear about what changed. Territories are open for subscription now, with new areas onboarded every week and the automated sweeps expanding coverage continuously.

Prices & promotions
Published fees, promo bundles, Groupon activity and discount cadence — diffed week over week.

What people in your area ask online about cost, anxiety, whitening and coverage — the demand you can answer.
The obvious question
“Couldn't I just ask an AI this?”
You could ask once, and get a decent snapshot. A live brief isn't a snapshot — it's a diff. And a chat window can't diff anything.
-
01 Memory
“A competitor started discounting” is only visible if last week's prices and promos were recorded. Every AI chat starts blank. We keep the baseline, so change is the headline.
-
02 Arrival
You could spend Sunday night prompting. You won't — you're running a clinic. The brief lands Monday at 6 a.m. with zero effort from you. You're buying back time, not information.
-
03 Compounding history
Six months in, we hold pricing history, review-velocity trends and promo calendars for every clinic near you — a dataset no fresh query can recreate, and one that gets more valuable every week.
-
04 Judgment
Raw AI output is verbose and generic. Knowing that a competitor abandoning Groupon matters — and a floss blog post doesn't — is dental-operator judgment, built into every brief and sharpened by subscriber feedback.

Questions
Before you ask
I'm an independent hygienist, not a dental practice. Is this for me?
Yes — hygienists were the first audience this was designed for. Every report ends with a buyer lens: the same findings translated into hygienist economics (fee-guide positioning, hygienist-direct demand, CDCP acceptance) versus practice economics. You're never reading advice written only for dentists.
How is my territory defined?
A radius around your clinic's address — 10 km by default, adjustable. Every competitor, price, review and ad inside that radius is tracked weekly. Multi-location plans cover up to three radii.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources only: clinic websites and published prices, Google listing and review data, the Meta Ad Library, CDCP and industry news, and public patient discussions. No patient data is involved at any point — nothing about this service touches your practice-management system.
What if my competitors don't publish prices?
That's the norm — many clinics don't publish fixed fees. When that's what the live check finds in your territory, the silence is itself the finding: the report flags the gap and tells you how to turn transparency (published policies, written estimates) into the differentiator.
Can I really not just do this with ChatGPT?
You can get a one-time snapshot. What you can't get from a chat window is week-over-week change detection, a growing history of your competitors' prices and promos, or a brief that arrives Monday at 6 a.m. without you doing anything. See “Why it works” above.
How do I get in touch?
